Spitalfields and the streets around it have a cluster of members of their own, with markets and cafés on every corner.
Greater London
Our biggest community, and plenty of free places to meet.
Greater London is home to more Curvy Dates members than any other part of the UK: around 360 of them, from the East End to the outer boroughs. London is also where dating can feel most exhausting. The apps are crowded, everyone seems to be in a hurry, and as a plus size woman or a big man it is easy to feel lost in the swipe. A curvy dating site cuts through that. The person who messages you from Walthamstow or Wimbledon chose a site full of curves on purpose.
The capital's crowd leans slightly younger than our UK average and has more men than women, so women in London tend to have plenty of choice. Admirers, meanwhile, will find that a thoughtful first message stands out in a city where many people send a quick "hey".
Shares of our members in Greater London, from our member records.
Almost half of London members are between 35 and 54, and around one in six is under 35, the second-highest share of any UK area we cover. A third or so are 55 or over, so whatever your age, you are not alone.
London's best first-date secret is how much of it is free. Tate Modern on Bankside has no entry charge for its main collection, plenty of benches, and a riverside walk to the Southbank Centre afterwards. The National Gallery on Trafalgar Square is free too, and its café is a calm place to talk. On a Sunday morning, Columbia Road Flower Market in Bethnal Green is a lovely, slow wander with independent cafés along the street.
If you would rather be outdoors, the flat paths of Regent's Park and the rose gardens there are ideal for a gentle stroll, while Greenwich Park offers a view over the whole city for a little more effort. Borough Market is perfect for grazing, though it gets busy at weekends, so a weekday lunchtime is kinder if you dislike crowds.

From Brixton to Bromley and Croydon, with Dulwich Park and the Horniman Museum gardens for an easy afternoon.
Enfield, Harrow, Romford and beyond. Suburban dates with free parking and quieter pubs are underrated.
Spring brings the blossom in Greenwich Park and the tulips at Hampton Court. In summer, a picnic blanket on Primrose Hill or a riverside table outside a South Bank café is hard to beat, and the long light evenings mean you can meet after work without it feeling like a late night. Autumn is the time for Kew Gardens and its changing trees, which are glorious and mostly on flat paths. In winter, the lights along Regent Street and a warm pub with a fire are all the romance anyone needs.
Whatever the month, keep a plan B indoors. London weather changes its mind, and a dry café nearby saves the day.
