York
A slow loop of the Shambles and the Minster, then tea. The city walls are lovely but have steps, so choose a short stretch.
West and North Yorkshire
Curvy singles and admirers from Leeds and Bradford to York and Harrogate.
West and North Yorkshire together make one of our largest areas, with members in Leeds, Bradford, York, Harrogate, Wakefield, Huddersfield, Scarborough and the villages in between. North Yorkshire has as many members as West Yorkshire, which surprises people: plenty of curvy singles live in market towns and the coast, not just the cities.
Yorkshire also has the youngest crowd of any area we cover. Around one in five members here is under 35, more than in London, while just under four in ten are 55 or over. If you are in your twenties or early thirties and have found other plus size sites a bit quiet for your age, this is a good place to be.

Kirkgate Market in Leeds is one of the biggest covered markets in Europe, and a wander through its Victorian halls with something to eat is a cheerful, rain-proof first date. Leeds Art Gallery is free and right next to the Henry Moore Institute; the Tiled Hall café between them is a beautiful place for a coffee. For greenery, Roundhay Park is huge, with a lakeside path that is mostly level.
Bradford is known for its curry houses, and a long, unhurried meal is a lovely way to get to know someone. The National Science and Media Museum is free to enter and good for a rainy afternoon.
North Yorkshire
North Yorkshire is made for gentle, old-fashioned dates.
A slow loop of the Shambles and the Minster, then tea. The city walls are lovely but have steps, so choose a short stretch.
The Stray is flat and green, and Bettys tea room is a Yorkshire institution with comfortable seats and very good cake.
Fish and chips on the seafront, a promenade stroll and an easy afternoon by the sea.
South of Leeds, The Hepworth Wakefield sits beside the river Calder, is free to enter and has a calm café with big windows. Yorkshire Sculpture Park near West Bretton is a wonderful day date, with level paths through parkland if you choose your route, and buggies available to hire. Huddersfield's grand railway station has two pubs built into it, which says a lot about the town's priorities. To the north, Skipton and Ilkley are easy train rides from Leeds and Bradford, with market streets, tea rooms and riverside walks on the edge of the Dales.
